On behalf of the Area I welcome S/M Dave White (the chairman of the National Council) and his wife Monica to the meeting. I hope that they enjoy themselves today.

I was invited to the Cocktail Party onboard HMS BULWARK on the 28th January but regretfully I was not able to attend as it was my last court sitting and we did not finish untill late.

I apologize to everybody for changing the date of the AGM and the Area meeting but I was away on holiday and did not return to the UK until 6th March.I would like to thank the York Branch for agreeing to change the date for us to have our meeting.

I was away for all February and part of March and so I have not done much within the area but I am hoping to change that in the next few months by trying to visit a few more Branches.

Shipmates, I am going on Holiday (again).

I will be out of the country from early am 26th May and will not be back untill the Thursday before the Area Meeting.In case you are interested we will be in Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.Any decisions required then please call the Deputy Chairman S/M Chris Lewarne.

FOR AREA SECRETARY;
We need to get the Agenda items out for the Area Meeting as soon as possible in order that Branches can discuss before the Area Meeting.
