AREA 11 STANDARD BEARERS REPORT

Meeting Held RNA Stockton 06 09 2008

Shipmate President,Shipmate Chairman Shipmates.

As you know I was unable to Parade the Standard at the last Area Meeting as both it and I were representing the Area at the National Standard Bearers Competition in Chatham that day.Unfortunatly ,due not a little to the lack of practice I had been able to obtain.I came 9th of 9. However, some consolation was taken from the National President stating that the standard of the competition was the highest there had been for some time.

A fortnight later on the 29 06 2008. I paraded the Standard at the National Conferance in Dundeefor the parade to and from the Cathedral Service and the Service itself.The weather was unsettled but luckily the Standard had time to dry between showers before being furled again. It was a very enjoyable parade,and despite being led by a pipe band we managed to keep in step.

On 13 07 2008. I was finally able to attend the Harrogate Sea Sunday Service.It was a small but very nice service in a small but very nice church and I was made very welcome by the Harrogate Branch.
